The trailer has been released for the highly controversial story of Lance Armstrong, The Program. After viewing the trailer, many are saying that actor Ben Foster has transformed himself for the role and looks exactly like the infamous cyclist Lance Armstrong.
The Program depicts the rise and fall of Armstrong, from his triumphs in the Tour de France to his demise when he was found using performance enhancing drugs.
It will be based off of non-fiction writer and journalist David Walsh investigative book Seven Deadly Sins: My Pursuit of Lance Armstrong. The tell-all reveals the story of how Walsh uncovered the truth about Armstrong. In the movie, Irish actor Chris Dowd will play the Irish journalist.
The movie is directed by Stephen Frears, known for his work on The Queen and High Fidelity. The screenplay was written by John Hodge, known for his work on Trainspotting.
In the trailer, an array of talented actors are set to be in the film. Viewers can expect appearances from Lee Pace, Jesse Plemons, and Dustin Hoffman.
The anticipated film will be released on September 23rd.
