Residents of the Lone Star state are bracing for another round of rain and potential flooding as Tropical Storm Bill makes landfall.

The National Weather Service said that Tropical Storm Bill is set to bear down on Texas Tuesday morning and is expected to bring several inches of rain and wind gusts around 50 mph.

Schools in the Houston area were closed ahead of the storm and a flash flood warning is in effect until Tuesday evening.

News of the tropical storm is not good for the already-drenched state that is still recovering from the record-setting rainfall and floods last month. As previously reported, more than two dozen people were found dead or went missing after that storm system which not only brought flooding, but also spawned a tornado in Mexico.

Tropical Storm Bill is expected to also bring soaking rains to Louisiana, Alabama and Oklahoma. Officials are warning residents to stay indoors and not be out on the roads until the storm passes.
