If you live on the West Coast and were jealous that your East Coast friends get to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios in Orlando, fear not! Universal Parks is bringing the wildly popular Potter world to Universal Studios Hollywood.
Universal Parks announced that the new Wizarding world of Harry Potter will open in Spring 2016. It will be much like the Orlando attraction, but the Flight of the Hippogriff outside roller coaster will be a new addition.
The section will also include the village of Hogsmeade for all your souvenir needs, Honeydukes candy shop for your sweet tooth, the Ollivanders wand shop and the Three Broomsticks restaurant. The central ride will by “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey,” which takes you around the Hogwarts grounds in a thrilling 3D ride.
Universal has gotten the most out of its license for theme park rides based on Warner Bros.’ Harry Potter films and J.K. Rowling’s books. The company also has Potter attractions in Orlando and Japan.
Universal Parks also signed a deal to create Nintendo attractions last month and announced a King Kong ride for Orlando.
Here’s a sneak peek at what you can expect from #WizardingWorldHollywood in Spring 2016! LIKE what you’re most excited to experience!
