A Walmart employee was abducted outside her store but was able to escape her abductor, who police are searching for.
According to WISN, she had been on a break at 3:30 am and when employees noticed she didn’t come back to work, they reported her missing at 5 am. Surveillance from the Mukwonago, Wisconsin store showed a man approaching in a vehicle and forcing her inside before driving off.
The man later stopped at a gas station at 10:30 am and that is when the victim made her escape.
When asked, she told police the man’s identity and he was described as having facial hair and wearing blue jeans, a long-sleeved shirt, and he had a green baseball cap on.
Fox 6 Now reported the victim managed to contact her boyfriend for help through text messages and police tracked the vehicle through the phone to Eau Claire.
Eau Claire police have been tweeting their progress on the investigation in an effort to help keep residents safe as they search for the suspect.
