Authorities said they arrested a woman in Deltona, Florida who did not take kindly to and allegedly stabbed her boyfriend after he rejected her.
The Daytona Beach News-Journal reported that Yanilca Ortiz-Burgos, 37, stabbed Jose Vega-Hernandez, 46, after he refused to have morning sex with her.
Vega-Hernandez said that his girlfriend reeked of alcohol after drinking all night and asked him for intercourse, but when he told her was too tired she became very angry.
“Supposedly she came to my room because she wanted to be intimate,” he said.
Vega-Hernandez claimed the next thing he knew he felt a punch and an argument started. He then alleged that she got a knife and sliced his stomach while their three children were in the home.
Police arrived at the home just after 6 a.m. and took Ortiz-Burgos into custody. She was charged with aggravated battery on a person with a deadly weapon and child abuse.
Records showed that she was later released on her own recognizance under the supervision of the court’s pretrial release program.
Her boyfriend told the News-Journal that their relationship is history.
