Jaws may have made you never want to go in the water again, but what happens if you see while you are already in water? For the past 12 years, the Alamo Drafthouse theater chain in Texas has organized Jaws On The Water screenings and will do so again this weekend.

The event will take place on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. at the Texas Ski Ranch in New Braunfels. This year is really special for the film, since it is the 40th anniversary of its release in 1975.

Organizers said that they are making the event even better, using new lenses for the projectors to give audiences a better viewing angle and there will be extra surprises for those floating in the water. That includes at least 10 (hopefully fake) sharks in the water.

“Of course, we won’t be alone in that water, so for the more faint of heart we have a nice and safe sandy beach available where you can enjoy all of the terror on screen - as well as the fearful splashing of the people in the water in front of you,” the ski ranch noted.

Tickets, which cost $30, for the event have already sold out. They added a second date, July 25, which has also sold out and no tickets will be sold at the door. Alamo Drafthouse said that they will announce additional dates on their social media platforms.

Jaws was director Steven Spielberg’s breakthrough movie and stars Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw and Richard Dreyfuss.
