Mitch Winehouse, the father of the late singer Amy Winehouse, is still angry with Asif Kapadia’s Amy, the acclaimed documentary about his daughter. He’s now vowing to make a whole new film himself.

Mitch was on the ITV talkshow Loose Women, where he was asked about the new film by the show’s co-hosts. Since the film makes him out to be an exploitative parent who used his daughter’s fame to advance his own fortune, Mitch was forced to defend some of the questionable decisions he made while Amy was still alive.

He stands by his decisions and, as E! News points out, insists that he will make his own film about his daughter. Mitch said on Loose Women that Kapadia’s final film did not include many of the interviews he did with the director. None of the footage with Amy’s last boyfriend, Reg Traviss, was in the final cut, Mitch said.

“We're going to invite everyone that's spoken on the other film and we're not going to edit it, like they've edited me, and we're going to tell the truth about Amy's life because this is not,” he said of his own film.

He later added, “If I went to see this film and I didn't know what happened, I'd also have a dim view of me. That's my point, it's not true."

Mitch, who has blasted the film in the past already, has not stopped on Twitter either. “All Amys friends who were excluded from film will have their say. They won't be edited. Kapadia, you are a disgrace,” he wrote this weekend.

Kapadia has defended his film in the past, and continues to retweet praise for Amy. The film, which is being released by A24, hits theaters nationwide on July 10.
