In honor of the 30th anniversary of the original film, the cast of Back to the Future has reunited to celebrate the franchise and take questions from fans.
In a panel at London Film and Comic Con, Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, and Lea Thompson sat down to discuss the film trilogy's legacy. Fox talked about why Marty McFly is such a memorable character, explaining that audiences connect to his natural curiosity and the fact that he's asking all the questions that we have throughout the movie.
Christopher Lloyd also said that in addition to the movies tapping into our curiosity over time travel, the heart of the movies is the classic mentor/student relationship between Doc and Marty.
Talking about Back to the Future 2 and how its version of 2015 compares to today, Fox noted that the film showed off voice activated TVs and personal entertainment headsets, something that we actually do have today. But of course, flying cars would still be nice.
Lea Thompson later posted this picture on her official Instagram account with all three cast members together again.
This is yet another big moment for Back to the Future fans, as it was recently announced that we'd be getting an all new blu-ray set that will include the complete animated series, as we previously reported. Also on the way is a brand new comic series from original writer Bob Gale.
