Country music singer Chris Young had his name pop up in the rumors surrounding Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert’s divorce and wants everyone to know that he had nothing to do with it.
On Tuesday, there were rumors that Shelton knew Lambert was unfaithful with two men and one of those men was Young, who opened for Lambert on a tour. However, Young took to Twitter today to try to get his name out of the drama.
“I don’t normally address gossip but in this case I will,” Young wrote. “My name has been mentioned as a contributing factor in Blake and Miranda’s divorce. That is totally FALSE. They are both my friends and I would not betray their friendship. Just wanted to clear that up. Love you guys.”
Rumors about Shelton and Lambert’s divorce have been continuous since they announced the split on Monday. The rumors that came out earlier today suggested that Shelton was the one that cheated on Lambert. Even before their divorce, the couple was constantly followed by rumors that he was cheating.
Shelton and Lambert were married for four years and did not have any children together. It was Lambert’s first marriage and Shelton’s second.
