Note to Brandy: You are not U2. You aren’t even the cast of The Lion King on Broadway. So that might explain why you were ignored by New York City commuters on the subway.

The singer took to her blog on Monday to complain about a recent trip on the subway, in which she randomly decided to start singing. However, no one paid any attention to her. Strangely enough, she had no issue with sharing the video of the incident, showing that she wasn’t embarrassed by it.

“Recently, Frank Silent and I took a little subway ride after I'd left the gym. Frank, his camera, and I always equal a good time,” Brandy wrote. “I decided to hit the subway and sing my little heart out. You've GOTTA check out this video and see why this fun-filled morning left me asking: Can a Sistah get ONE fan?!”

At the end of the video, a man is seen pulling Brandy to the side to praise her singing, but he was the only one who cared. Everyone else just kept to their own business. Of course, U2 got very different reactions when they performed at subway stops in May and commuters loved hearing The Lion King cast sing “The Circle of Life.”

This isn’t even the first time that Brandy has found herself performing to a very small audience. In August 2013, she infamously performed for just 40 people at a stadium in South Africa that had 90,000 seats. She sang two songs before leaving the stage.
