When you’re friends with Bruce Springsteen, crazy things happen. That includes the Boss himself taking over your set.

On Saturday night at the Wonder Bar in Asbury Park, New Jersey, Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers were supposed to perform. However, after Grushecky got through a couple of his songs, Springsteen took over and performed a two-hour show. The group and Springsteen played “Darkness on the Edge of Town,” “Because The Night,” “Promised Land,” “Adam Raised A Cain” and “Light of Day.”

As Rolling Stone points out, Springsteen and Grushecky are close friends and even makes appearances at Gruskecky’s Lide of Day benefit concerts. The Boss also produced Grushecky’s American Babylon album in 1995. Grushecky’s day job is a special education teacher in Pittsburgh.

“It was thrilling,” Wonder Bar owner Debbie DeLisa told CNN. “It was a magical night.”

DeLisa will probably be happy that the bar is getting some extra attention. People might start going to more shows at the Wonder Bar if they think Bruce might pop up on stage.

Here’s fan-shot video of “Darkness on the Edge of Town” from Saturday night:

Springsteen is having a quiet 2015 after releasing High Hopes and touring last year. He did make a surprise appearance at a Brian Wilson show earlier this month.
