A judge sentenced a Detroit woman to life in prison without the possibility of parole on Friday for admitting that she killed her children and stuffed them in a freezer.

The Associated Press noted that Judge Dana Hathaway handed down the sentence to Mitchelle Blair, 36, who said she was not at all remorseful for killing two of her children.

As we reported last month,
Blair admitted to beating her 9-year-old son and 13-year-old daughter to death then claimed it was because that they were assaulting her other children.

"So this was your way of inflicting punishment?" Judge Hathaway asked.

"Definitely," replied Blair. "I don't regret none of this. ... I don't feel no remorse for the death of them demons.”

Blair’s nonchalant response echoed what she said when she appeared in court to enter her guilty plea in June.

After murdering the kids, she stuffed them in a deep freezer and kept their bodies there for years. They weren’t discovered until last March by court officials when she was served eviction papers.
