The Foo Fighters might be one of the coolest bands in rock 'n' roll today and are continuing to hold that title by responding to over 1,000 fans in Cesena, Italy who came together to make a YouTube video that asks the Foo Fighters to come play a concert in their town.
The YouTube video featured 1,000 fans performing "Learn To Fly" in unison. The video showed hundreds of musicians on drums, guitars and many fans coming together to perform the song and the result was an unique cover that was unlike anything done before. The video ends with asking The Foo Fighters to come and perform in Cesena.
The cover took over a year to be planed and executed. Fabio Zaffagnini was the lead on the project and explained that the goal was simple. "Our call is to ask you, the Foo Fighters, to come and play for us."
Dave Grohl answered the request with a tweet in Italian, which translated to, "See you soon, Cesena.... xxx David."
