Lucille Bluth to the rescue!
Jessica Walters shared a significant detail about the upcoming sixth season of the critically acclaimed cult comedy, Arrested Development. Last week at Comic-Con the Bluth matriarch, at the convention to promote the animated show Archer, mentioned that the fifth season would bring us the death of Liza Minnelli.
In an interview with TV Line Walters said that she called Mitch Hurwitz, one of the creators of the show, and Hurwitz said she could share the following: “Now that Buster has been arrested for the murder of Liza Minnelli, we’re very anxious to get this season started.”
Liza Minelli plays “Lucille 2” Austero, Buster’s on-again-off-again love interest and Lucille Bluth’s best frenemy/neighbor.
The show aired for three seasons on Fox before being canceled in 2006. The series was picked up by Netflix in 2012 and a fourth season was released in 2013. It was recently announced that the series would have a fifth season released on Netflix in 2016.
As we (impatiently) wait for more time with our beloved Bluths, we can take a look back at the ‘Top 15 Funniest Tobias Funke Quotes,’ and brush up on our chicken impressions.
