The new X-Men movie is going to be absolutely packed with stars, and now we're finding out that the roster will include another classic character from the series.

Director Bryan Singer posted a photo on his Instagram page confirming the return of Josh Helman as William Stryker. The photo shows Helman back on set and shooting with Rose Byrne.

William Stryker first appeared on film played by in X2, a U.S. colonel who is very anti-mutant. The role was originally played by Brian Cox, but Josh Helman portrayed the young version of the character in the most recent film, Days of Future Past, and now we'll get to see even more of him in Apocalypse.

X-Men: Apocalypse will be the third in the trilogy of X-Men prequels, starting with First Class in 2011. The sequel will pit them against one of their greatest threats, an immortal mutant named Apocalypse played by Oscar Isaac.

The cast is absolutely massive, featuring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Olivia Munn, Evan Peters, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Sophie Turner. It will be directed by Bryan Singer, who directed the first two original X-Men movies as well as Days of Future Past.
