Rising singer Tori Kelly received wise advice from Justin Bieber.
Kelly, 22, began posting YouTube videos of her singing when she was only 14. At the age of 16, she auditioned for the hit FOX American singing competition, American Idol. Although she was eliminated from the show, Kelly began seriously working on her music career shortly after.
Her album, Unbreakable Smile was released June 23.
Kelly hosted a release party for the her new record. Among the stars at the party, Selena Gomez, Ed Sheeran, Ashley Benson, Cody Simpson and Meghan Trainor made appearances.
Bieber was also at Kelly's party. "[Justin] came to my album release party in May," Kelly told ABC.
"It was cool to see him just so relaxed. He was very mature and very wise," Kelly added. "And I was just telling him, 'How did you feel when you put out your first album? Like, how was it?' Because I'm freaking out right now."
Bieber, 21, has been there before. With seven different albums, Bieber rose to stardom at a young age. He knew what to say to Kelly on handling the fame.
"And he was like, you know, 'You've just gotta appreciate all these people here supporting you and like that's what it's about. It's about the people and it will go by so fast,'" Kelly said.
The rising singer and songwriter appeared on Star Search and America's Most Talented Kids. Also, Kelly recently performed at the BET Awards with an incredible rendition of Smokey Robinson's Who's Lovin' You.
