Kate Winslet is set to play an Australian fashion designer who could be a possible murderer in the new movie The Dressmaker.

Winslet will play protagonist (or antagonist) Myrtle “Tilly” Dunnage who is on a mission to clear her name after being accused for the murder of a little boy at the age of 10.

After being accused of this crime, she is forced to leave her hometown.

Years go by and Tilly Dunnage has become a successful dressmaker, but when she hears that her mother is ill, she knows that she must return.

Liam Hemsworth plays Teddy McSwiney—the rustic, shirtless, and always dirty native Australian who seems to have a romantic interest in Winslet’s character.

The film also stars Judy Davis, Hugo Weaving, and Sarah Snook.

IMDB reports that Jocelyn Moorhouse will be directing and writing the screenplay.

The movie is based off of the book that was written by Rosalie Ham and is expected to come to theaters on Oct. 22.
