Does everyone remember back in 2013 when Miley Cyrus twerked her way onto every news headline after her twerk-filled performance with Robin Thicke at the MTV Video Music Awards?
Of course we all do.
Well guess what? Miley has announced on her Instagram Monday that she will be hosting this year’s show.
She posted a side-by-side photo of her wearing an alien costume with the left sign saying “MTV won’t let me perform” and the right sign said, “So I’m hosting this year’s VMAs.”
And boy is she excited.
“F--k yeah VMAs!!!!!” she captioned the photo.
Back in 2013 during her infamous performance, Miley danced up, down and all-around Robin Thicke during their duet of his hit single “Blurred Lines.”
The performance caused such an uproar that it was talked about for weeks, on all different media platforms. But that was exactly what Miley wanted.
The possibilities for what Miley is going to do are literally endless, but one thing is for sure. Whatever Miley does do, it will be talked about for weeks following.
The VMAs will air Aug. 30 at 9 p.m. on MTV.
