Ryan Reynolds is finally getting his Deadpool movie into theaters next year, and we now have a brand new look at the film.
A new image published this week in Entertainment Weekly gives fans a better look at Reynolds' costume in the upcoming superhero movie.
Producer Simon Kinberg told Entertainment Weekly that Deadpool will be a hard R, extremely graphic and pushing the boundaries of blockbuster superhero films. There will be brutal deaths and scenes in strip clubs and dive bars, far from the PG-13 world of the X-Men.
In the interview, Reynolds also discussed how thankful he is to whoever leaked the Deadpool test footage back in 2011. At the time, the film did not have a greenlight, but the fan excitement that grew when the video was released helped convince the studio to go ahead with the project.
Reynolds has been pretty active on social media about Deadpool for a while now, and it's clear that this film is a passion project for him. Reynolds' last superhero outing, Green Lantern, was a huge disappointment, so let's hope this will be the actor's redemption.
