A family’s Labrador in Pennsylvania must have a strange appetite, because a veterinarian found some alarming objects in her stomach during exploratory surgery.

The black Lab, Tiki, had surgery at Good Shepherd's Veterinary Hospital in Mars, PA and the vet found a Band-Aid, 62 hair ties, eight pairs of underwear and four rubber bands in her stomach.

The Weiss family from Butler County was worried about their dog when she showed symptoms of vomiting, diarrhea and a loss of appetite. When she was put on medication, her body didn’t respond to it correctly. An X-ray then showed a mysterious mass, which was alarming.

Dr. Hisham Ibrahim told WTAE he ended up operating on Tiki for about two hours.

"'Doctor I' started pulling handfuls of different items out. It was quite an experience to see,” said Emily Cottle, the doctor’s head vet technician, adding they found “Four rubber bands, a Band-Aid, eight pairs of underwear and 62 hair bands.”

Sara Weiss, Tiki’s owner, said she has eaten a plastic nerf Dart before but passed it naturally. Thankfully, Tiki is recovering just fine from surgery and has a follow-up appointment on Friday.
