Rihanna just became the first artist ever to cross the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA)'s 100 million song certifications.
Rihanna celebrated her achievement with a post on Instagram, where she wrote, "Thank you God for fulfilling Your plans in my life. All the Glory belongs to You!"
She also posted the RIAA list, which places Taylor Swift in second place with 88 million song certifications. The list also includes Katy Perry, Kanye West and Lady Gaga.
"We've given awards to artists for nearly 60 years, but it's rare that we have the opportunity to recognize a milestone like the one Rihanna has reached," said Cary Sherman, Chairman and CEO of RIAA, in a press release today. "She has not only surpassed RIAA's 100 million mark, but also is the first artist to do so. It's an historic feat and a testament to an extraordinary career."
Rihanna has sold 7.5 million albums in the United States. Her 2011 single "We Found Love" was certified 9X Platinum.
