Sandra Bland’s family has ordered an independent autopsy be carried out after a coroner officially ruled her jail cell death a suicide.

Bland, who was driving from her hometown in Illinois to Texas for a new job opportunity, was pulled over on July 10 for a traffic violation but was found dead in her jail cell three days later.

Footage of her interaction with the arresting officer has surfaced, showing her questioning his violence towards her. She’s heard yelling, “You just slammed my head into the ground. Do you not even care about that? I can't even hear."

However, the cop claimed she was being “combative” with him, leading to an assault a public servant charge.

Bland’s family has ruled out the possibility of her taking her own life and their family’s attorney, Cannon Lambert, said in a statement, "We want to understand how it is that this kind of played out and what will end up ultimately being the cause of death,” ABC News reports.

The FBI is currently doing an investigation as well. Officials said they will consider a video she uploaded to Facebook in March, during which she reveals she suffered from depression and PTSD.

“I want you guys to know it's a daily struggle. It's a daily test," she said. "Depression is nothing but the devil. It's a way of mind and it's a way of thinking."
