Selena Gomez has finally announced the date for her upcoming new record Revival.
Gomez hinted at the album through a video posted on her Instagram on Tuesday. The video shows Gomez writing in a notebook the title and date for her release.
Entertainment Weekly confirmed that the post was not just to get her fans excited, but Gomez is getting ready for a new hit record. Her last album released in 2013, Stars Dance, was Gomez's first debut album showcasing the star as a solo artist. The upcoming album will expose another phase of Gomez's life.
During an interview with Ryan Seacrest in June, the 'Good For You' singer said that there are hints of her breakup with Justin Bieber. However, the album will mostly encompass who Gomez is becoming as a person.
“I’m becoming a young woman and I’m comfortable with my sensuality," Gomez told Seacrest. "It’s just kind of not try-hard. It’s just perfect. I think to me that was exactly what I want people to see for the next chapter for me,” she said.
“I’m very confident in this record and you can hear it. But I’m vulnerable, I’m real, and I think it just shows a different side of me, and I’m really excited, and I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders," Gomez added.
The pop singer also tweeted about the comedy Trainwreck now shoing in theaters. Gomez is a big fan. "When you HAVE to see Trainwreck before it comes out... @amyschumer teach me your ways please. Go. See. This. Movie," Gomez wrote in her tweet.
Amy Schumer replied to Gomez. “Thank you so much girl! Wow! Is that in your house? Teach me your ways! #Ihaveaonebedroominawalkup," Schumer excitingly said in her tweet.
We are so excited for the new sound. Gomez's album Revival will be out October 9.
