Tori Kelly performed a set on top of the Capitol Tower in Hollywood and has been releasing the performances on YouTube slowly, but surely. On Tuesday, the singer/songwriter released her fourth song from the Top of the Tower titled, “Talk.”
“People talk, people talk / But they don’t want to say what they’re really trying to say,” she opens the song, showing off her high vocal range. But that that opening line is not how Kelly likes to live.
"There are not a lot of 'yes' people around me, which I really like," she said, according to AP. "I want people to just be honest around me and just treat me like regular Tori."
Kelly’s debut album Unbreakable Smile peaked at number two on the Billboard 200. Her pop/R&B, 90s inspired album brings something different to today’s music. At this year’s Billboard Music Awards, she performed an acoustic version of her single “Nobody Love” leaving the audience mesmerized by her huge voice.
"I am just throwing myself out there and people are just into it. It's really cool to be able to do what I love," she said.
Other songs Kelly has released from her Top of the Tower set include “First Heartbreak,” “Nobody Love” and “Unbreakable Smile.”
