Joyce Mitchell, the woman who has been accused of helping two inmates escape from a New York prison, pleaded guilty on Tuesday and described being "caught up in the fantasy."

The New York Times noted that Mitchell plead guilty to promoting prison contraband in the first degree and criminal facilitation in the fourth degree.

As previously reported, the 51-year-old former industrial training supervisor at the Clinton Correctional Facility’s tailor shop allegedly snuck tools that Richard Matt and David Sweat used to escape inside hamburger meat.

Joyce also told investigators that she had a sexual relationship with one of the men and gave the other naked photographs of herself to another.

"I enjoyed the attention, the feeling both of them gave me and the thought of a different life," she said in a statement.

Matt was fatally shot by a border patrol officer on June 26. Sweat was apprehended days later.

Mitchell’s sentencing is set for September, if convicted she faces two to seven years behind bars per a deal with prosecutors.
