Woody Allen, the multitalented actor, comedian, director, and writer is just like the rest of us. He is a fan of Amy Schumer.

In an interview with Vulture Allen said, “You know, being a comeidian myself, I have a tremendous admiration and respect for all these people. I used to think that, Oh, I was so great, and there’s so many comedians, and they’re second-rate. And then I watched them on cable television, and I thought, My God, I’m nowhere near as good as any of these people! I have a tremendous repsect for all of them; it’s amazing how good they are and how much better than I was all of them are, including her [Schumer].”
Allen was asked if he was aware of the nod to his movie Manhattan in Schumer’s Trainwreck, but he was not. Allen spoke with Vulture at a screening for his film Irrational Man which stars Emma Stone, Parker Posey, and Joaquin Phoenix. Allen has been busy learning about Twitter from Stone.
Schumer’s film Trainwreck did well at the box-office for its opening weekend. The actress has been busy promoting her film, taking Star Wars inspired photos, and begging strangers to zip her up.
