Boulevard, one of several small indie films Robin Williams made before his death last year, is hitting home video on Sept. 1, Anchor Bay and Starz Digital announced on Tuesday.
The film, which received a limited theatrical release in July, stars Williams as Nolan Mack, a bank employee who is stuck in a boring marriage to Joy (Kathy Baker, The Age of Adaline).
One night, Nolan decides to take a drive down a street he’s never been to before and finds Leo (Roberto Aguirre, Struck By Lightning). Leo and Nolan begin a relationship, which reawakens him, but clashes with his normal life.
The script was written by Douglas Soesbe and directed by Dito Montiel (Empire State). Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) and Giles Matthey (True Blood) co-star.
Anchor Bay is releasing the film on DVD and Blu-ray on Sept. 1. It will also be available in Digital HD on iTunes with an exclusive Q&A at the New York Film Critics Series with Baker, Montiel and others.
