Walt Disney Animation Studios announced that a sequel to Frozen was definitely in the works. Although they aren’t rushing to complete it, the co-directors gave an update on their progress of their film.

In March the Disney team confirmed that directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee would return to the project. Seems like a very wise decesion considering that Frozen was the highest grossing animated film of all time.

Buck and Lee tell MTV that they already have a story set in place.

“We’re just starting. Jen and I are just getting back into the story room together and throwing ideas around,” says Buck.

Buck explains that he wanted the Frozen fever to go down so that he could clear his mind. As they were making the short, an idea popped into his head.

The directors hint that they will be tackling other issues that people are currently dealing with.

“I think we’re very aware of what is happening in society,” he says cryptically. “I don’t think any of us take them lightly.”
