A new Clown Prince of Crime has been crowned, since Warner Bros. needed one for the LEGO Batman movie that’s now in the works. Zach Galifianakis will be the LEGO Movie spin-off’s Joker.

Galifianakis will join Will Arnett, who voiced the Caped Crusader in The LEGO Movie, and Michael Cera, who was cast as Robin last month. Galifianakis’ casting was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

Dan Lin and Roy Lee, who produced The LEGO Movie, are producing LEGO Batman, along with Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. Chris McKay, who was an animation supervisor on the previous film, will direct. Seth Grahame-Smith is working on the script.

LEGO Batman is shaping up to be the Batman movie you can take your young children to, since Warner Bros. is sticking with the super dark route with the live-action movies. It is currently scheduled for Feb. 10, 2017 and is expected to pay homage to every corner of the Batman universe.

Galifianakis, who starred in Birdman last year, was supposed to be seen opposite Kristen Wiig in Masterminds in October, but that film’s release was postponed indefinitely after Relativity Media filed for bankruptcy. He’s currently working on Keeping Up With The Joneses for April 2016.
