Did Best Buy just leak the release date for the iPhone 6S?

The retailer is expected to start selling AppleCare and AppleCare+ insurance products “beginning the week of September 14,” according to 9to5Mac. The release of the new iPhones always happen around that timeframe, so it seems that Best Buy just confirmed the release date of the latest models.

BuzzFeed reported that Apple is holding a “special event” on September 9, which means a September 14 release date is quite possible. Apple typically announces their new products the week before their release.

The new iPhone is expected to include pressure-sensitive touch screens with a new feature called Force Touch, according to Mashable. The camera resolution is expected to be increased to 12MP. A redesigned Apple TV and a 12.9 inch iPad Pro are also rumored to be unveiled soon.

Apple has yet to officially announce the release date for the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, but all signs are pointing to September 14.
