Bradley Cooper has been on an unprecedented run recently, earning three consecutive Oscar nominations and even a Tony nod. Now, he’s trying to make history with yet another film that could earn put him awards talk with Burnt.
Released by The Weinstein Company, the film just received a trailer, a few days after it received its new title. The film was first known as Chef, but was switched to Adam Jones to avoid confusion with Jon Favreau’s recent comedy. It was switched to Burnt when TWC set a new release date - Oct. 23.
Cooper stars as Adam Jones, a chef who became a rock star in the food world thanks to his meteoric rise as a young American in Paris. However, he also behaved like a rock star and he flamed out. Now, he’s trying to get back on track.
The cast also includes Sienna Miller, Emma Thompson, Uma Thurman, David Bruhl, Omar Sy and Matthew Rhys. It is based on a story by Michael Kalesniko with a screenplay by Steven Knight. John Wells (August: Osage County) directed.
Cooper was last seen on the big screen in American Sniper, which earned him a Best Actor Oscar nomination. He’s also been nominated for his performances in Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle. He was recently nominated for a Tony thanks to his performance in The Elephant Man. Cooper also has a fourth Oscar nomination as a co-producer on American Sniper.
Lastly, Cooper will also be seen in Joy with Jennifer Lawrence on Christmas Day.
