Celine Dion has shared a heartbreaking request from her husband, René Angélil, who is currently battling throat cancer.

Dion, who put her Las Vegas residency on hold last year to care for him, said doctors aren’t sure how long he has to live.

"I'll say, 'You're scared? I understand. Talk to me about it,'" she told USA Today in a revealing interview. "And René says to me, 'I want to die in your arms.' OK, fine, I'll be there, you'll die in my arms."

Back in March, Dion revealed she feeds her husband through a feeding tube three times a day.

The couple has three children; René-Charles, 14, and twins Nelson and Eddy, 4. She said during the interview that their oldest son is becoming "the man of my life.”

Angelil, who has been her manager since the beginning of her career, insisted she returned to work. "That first show, it will be fragile," she said. "There will be moments. Of emptiness, laughter, awkwardness, tearing up. But that's the point of coming back — otherwise, I just release an album."

She will start up her residency at Caesars Palace again on Aug. 27.
