Checkers and Rally's employee wipes bun on the floor then makes sandwich in viral video (Video)

Checkers and Rally’s has responded to a viral video showing an employee wiping a bun on the floor then proceeding to make a sandwich.

The employee works at a Baltimore, Maryland location of Checkers. Her co-workers are heard laughing in the background and appear stunned at what she had done.

According to WFTS, all of the employees seen or heard in the video have been terminated.

The fast food company’s senior vice president of human resources, Lori Malcolm, has created a video in response to the public outcry, saying “The employee is very sorry and embarrassed about what happened. She confirmed that she and her friends were playing in the kitchen and that the product was never served to guests."

She also said in the statement released on Wednesday, “I, like you, am appalled and disappointed by what I saw in that video.”

The video has been viewed almost 550,000 times on YouTube as of Thursday morning.
