20th Century Fox finally released a trailer for Victor Frankenstein, the new twist on the classic Frankenstein story that stars James McAvoy in the title role and Daniel Radcliffe as Igor.

Based on this two-minute trailer, it looks like an attempt to make a Frankenstein film that’s similar in tone to Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes movies. It still features the same story - Frankenstein wants to bring a dead man to life using electricity - but tries to go with a different way to tell the tale. It also looks like Igor is very different from the previous versions of that character, since he’s billed as a protege just as brilliant as his boss.

The cast also includes Jessica Brown Findlay, Andrew Scott and Freddie Fox. It was written by Max Landis (Chronicle, American Ultra) and directed by Paul McGuigan (Lucky Number Slevin, episodes of the BBC’s Sherlock).

Victor Frankenstein was supposed to be released on Oct. 2, but the film has now been moved to Nov. 25. Because who doesn’t want a little horror with their turkey?
