Donald Trump will not be on the campaign trail Monday, instead he is performing his civic duty as a citizen of New York City and reporting for jury duty.

USA Today noted that Trump is scheduled to appear at the State Supreme Court building in lower Manhattan and, according to a spokesperson, is happy to report.

Trump himself commented last week that he has no issue with reporting.

“I’m looking forward to it," he said. "I think it’s fun.”

Those comments are in stark contrast compared with the real estate mogul’s track record of reporting for jury duty in the past. Over the years the presidential hopeful he has failed to appear and paid a $250 fine.

“Mr. Trump’s failure to appear for previous jury requests was the result of the unified court system’s error in the mailing address, and not Mr. Trump’s refusal to uphold his civic duty,” special counsel Michael Cohen told The New York Times.

Trump has been the cause of many instances of controversy since he started his campaigning for the Republican nomination. That controversy, however, has not hurt his numbers as he is currently leading in the polls.
