Donald Trump is a cry baby and he plans on crying until he gets his way. He has no problem admitting that, even agreeing that he is a “fabulous whiner.”
Rich Lowry of the New York Post called Trump the “most fabulous whiner in all of American politics.” When CNN’s Chris Cuomo asked Trump about that quote this morning, Trump fully embraced it.
“I do whine because I want to win and I'm not happy about not winning and I am a whiner and I keep whining and whining until I win,” Trump said.
Trump’s whining could continue even if he loses the Republican presidential nomination. He is still refusing to rule out running as an independent candidate in November 2016, despite an ABC News report on Monday.
“I'm running as a Republican, I'm leading in every poll...I'm leading all over the place and I want to run as a Republican,” Trump told CNN. “If I am treated fairly that's the way it's going to be but I want to keep that door open. I have to keep that door open because if something happens where I'm not treated fairly I may very well use that door.”
Trump also told ABC News Monday that he can still not pledge to support another Republican candidate. “It’s absolutely possible that at some point I would change that,” he said, but added the change “is not imminent.”
Trump also refused to take that pledge at last week’s GOP debate.
The former Celebrity Apprentice host is also dealing with the fallout of his ongoing barrage of insults directed at Fox News’ Megyn Kelly. She said on The Kelly File last night that she will “not apologize for good journalism.”
