Channing Tatum may have yet another hit on his hands. The star, whose career took off with the Step Up series, officially confirmed his entrance into the Marvel universe last week by signing a deal for Gambit. Considering the success of X-Men and Wolverine franchises, Gambit could turn into another box office win for the actor.

On August 1, The Hollywood Reporter revealed the Magic Mike star signed a deal for Gambit, a pet project of sorts going back a few years.

Tatum’s involvement, however, has been back and forth. He’s been attached as a producer and top-billed actor, but more recently, he allegedly backed out of the film.

High off Magic Mike XXL and 22 Jump Street, his career now translates to box office gold – likely one reason 20th Century Fox gave Gambit a go. It hasn’t always been this way, and in between the top-drawing flicks have been a few lesser-performing ones and uninspiring pretty boy roles.

So now that Gambit is moving along, we count down his top 10 movies at the box office.
