Jennifer Lawrence is only 25, so she has plenty of time to use all the money she has earned this past year alone. In the last 12 months, the Hunger Games star has earned $52 million before taxes, according to Forbes.
The magazine released its list of highest paid actresses and if you’ve been following JLaw’s career, this shouldn’t be surprising. She fronts Lionsgate’s Hunger Games franchise and starred in Sony’s 2013 hit American Hustle.
While $52 million sounds like a lot, it’s much less than what the top-earning actor earned in the same time period. Earlier this month, Forbes said that Avengers star Robert Downey Jr. was the highest paid actor of 2015 with $80 million.
Lawrence is going to go a long way to catch up to Downey next year though. She has one more Hunger Games movie, which comes out this November and will be reportedly paid $20 million to make Sony’s December 2016 film Passengers.
In total, only four actresses made even over $20 million. Scarlett Johansson followed Lawrence with $35.5 million, while Melissa McCarthy raked in $23 million. Chinese star Bingbing Fan made $21 million and Jennifer Aniston rounded out the Top 5 with $16.5 million.
