Nine years after the release of her last studio album, JoJo is back with three brand new songs.

The three songs will be released on iTunes tonight as what is being marketed as a “tringle” (three singles). The songs are a teaser for what is to come on JoJo’s upcoming third studio album, which she is still working on, according to Entertainment Weekly.

“When Love Hurts” is the only upbeat song of the three; it is heavily influenced by house and electronic music. “Say Love” and “Save My Soul” are both ballads that remind us of JoJo’s extraordinary vocal talent.

The “Too Little Too Late” singer is now signed to Atlantic Records after a seven year battle to be released from her contract with Blackground Records, according to The L.A. Times. In the lawsuit, JoJo complained that the record label failed to release her third album and, as a result, neglected to pay the producers that she collaborated with. The singer also pointed out that her deal with the label was signed when she was a minor.
