As Keira Knightly sat with ELLE magazine, she revealed a few things: her twenties were complicated, she had to go to therapy, and pregnancy is a challenge but her baby is adorable.

As the actress turned 30 in March, she recalled her birthday party. "I was heavily pregnant, I couldn't drink—what is the point of having a thirtieth birthday if I couldn't get phenomenally drunk?," the 30 year-old told the magazine.

Her husband arranged a party with her closest friends. Although, soon enough, everyone was drunk and pregnant Knightley had to be out of the loop.

"They [the friends] were there until two or three in the morning, absolutely drunk, and I was there eight months pregnant, completely sober," Knightley said about her 30th birthday party. "It wasn't what I'd imagined a thirtieth birthday was going to be."

The stars career took off in her late teens and achieved international fame in 2003 as Elizabeth Swann in Pirates of the Caribbean. However, she had some issues while being in the spotlight.

The actress said her twenties were "crap" but her career was "absolutely amazing." She can't imagine it being better.

Knightley said that she was shy and not as wild as other people can be when they're young.

Knightley had to work on her attitude-- to stop pleasing others and just to have fun.

The English actress found therapy helpful. "I've totally done therapy. I highly recommend it. I don't do it at the moment. But in my early twenties when I found everything completely overwhelming," she said.

"When you're in those moments in your life, and you want to get through them…you have to do whatever it is to help you get over it. You have to give it a go. Try anything that might help."

Knightley knows the struggles of every woman. Dealing with her body was an issue, but her pregnancy taught her to love her own body. "You go through those periods where you look in the mirror and you think, Oh, if only I had different legs or arms or whatever," the actress explained.

After giving birth, she realizes that she can never not like her body again because it gave her a child. "My body is totally amazing," she said.

And her baby's name is Edie!
