Taylor Swift’s entourage no longer consists of just models and singers since Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant made an appearance at Swift’s Staples Center show Friday night.
The arena surprised Swift with a banner commemorating her record setting 16 sold out shows at the Staples Center, with Bryant himself bringing out the banner. “Congrats on record setting 16 sold out shows @taylorswift, most by any artist in the history of STAPLES Center! For that we raise a banner in your honor! #1989TourLA,” the Staples Center posted on Instagram.

Swift and Bryant interacted online after the show was over, according to Just Jared, with Swift posting, “Tonight @kobebryant surprised me with a banner in @STAPLESCenter for the most sold out shows. You did that. Love you.” And Bryant responded to the singer when he tweeted, “My pleasure @taylorswift13 Keep breaking records and changing lives #1989TourLA.”
The banner for Swift reads, “Taylor Swift, Most Sold Out Performances” for her 16 sold-out shows, the most for any artist at the Staples Center. Friday’s show marked the first of five consecutive shows in Los Angeles.
According to E! News, Swift also brought OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder and the two performed his band’s hit ‘Counting Stars.’ The two collaborated on Swift’s ‘Welcome to New York’ and ‘I Know Places,’ which appeared on the singer’s 2014 album 1989.
The star-studded crowd in attendance Friday night included actress Mariska Hargitay, Gigi Hadid and Joe Jonas, as well as Helen Hunt, Real Housewives of Orange County star Lizzie Rovzek, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Mark Wahlberg.
