The second LeBron James signed a deal with Warner Bros. last month, speculation started that the basketball star was hoping to make a sequel to Space Jam 2. It seems like he is also legitimately interested in doing it.

In an interview with The Today Show, James talked a bit more about his burgeoning movie career, which got a boost from his performance in Trainwreck. And just days after that film hit theaters, James’ production company SpringHill Entertainment signed a deal with Warner Bros..

"It's a passion of mine. Everything I do, I have a passion about it,” James told Today’s Willie Geist. “If we could continue it, I know I don't have to dribble a basketball and fly through the air to do those type of things.”

When asked about Space Jam 2, James sounded excited about partnering with the iconic Looney Tunes characters in some way.

“We're definitely missing Bugs and Daffy and Tasmanian Devil and and every last one of them, so hopefully we can do some great things,” James said.

Space Jam isn’t a particularly good movie, but it’s a fun one and did earn $230 million worldwide when it hit theaters in 1996. The film paired Michael Jordan and other basketball stars with Bugs Bunny and other Looney Tunes characters.
