This has been the summer of breakups but Little Mix is stepping up and protecting their fellow bandmate, Perrie Edwards after her engagement was broken off with former One Direction member, Zayn Malik.
Paparazzi had been relentless in their attempt to get pictures of Edwards after the breakup news broke. Bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock came up with a creative way to end the harassment. She blocked the paparazzi by dancing and making herself the center of attention. Keeping their lenses and focus away from Edwards. Instead of images of Edwards going viral, it was her bandmates coming together and protecting her that did.
MTV reported that during a recent interview, Edwards was asked about the breakup and her bandmates quickly addressed the issue, “We don’t want to talk about that,” said Pinnock.
As previously reported the couple got engaged back in August 2013 and announced their breakup yesterday.
