Fantastic Four hunk Miles Teller is getting a lot of backlash from fans and reporters after a recent interview with Esquire.
According to the interview, he was very arrogant, speaking highly of himself and down on others, acting more like a frat member using terms like "bro," and used more curse words than a sailor. To sum up the entire interview, after a lot of consideration, the reporter decided that Teller is a "d**k."
The Esquire writer wrote the article in a narrative form, as if it is you sitting across from the 21 & Over star over dinner.
"I was thinking about that today, how I probably think I'm better-looking than the public thinks I am," was one of the first quotes out of Teller's mouth after the waitress left. When the waitress was at the table, the reporter said that Teller was arrogantly talking about himself, his genitals, and a drunken night with his buddies.
Once the meal finally does come out, Teller asked the reporter to cut the piece of meat that was offered to him. This comes just five minutes after Teller showed the reporter a picture on his cell phone of his back muscles, out of proof of how strong he really is.
Over discussing his past films and how much he made during them, Teller decided to switch the conversation over. He ordered a beer and decided to talk about more his college career, which consisted a lot of getting high.
According to the interviewer, he never said if he had smoked marijuana recently, but turned even the illegal hobby into a reason to put himself on a pedestal over everyone else.
"We were like, 'Nobody smokes this much pot. I guarantee you can ask anyone in this dorm, man . . . we smoke a lot,'" Teller explained over a local beer. "I didn't do a single play when I was in college, because all I wanted to do was smoke pot. I did zero extracurricular activities so I could get high."
This conversation, then, quickly turns into how the paparazzi is always around. He mentions multiple examples that him and his girlfriend, 22-year-old swimsuit-wannabe Keleigh Sperry. He specifically brought up a recent video that was released of Teller dancing around at a concert, which led others to believe he was on drugs. To keep up the arrogant tough guy attitude, Teller says that he doesn't "give a s**t" about the paparazzi.
"Do you not do what you would do? Do you live your life with all these filters and censors because everyone has a camera? Or do you f*****g dance how you would dance and have people say, 'Oh, he's on drugs'? I was drinking and was at a f*****g Brett Dennen f*****g concert."
He ended the interview with calling an Uber for the interviewer and saying how he feels that he has something to add to Hollywood. He couldn't come up with the word he wanted to use for the rest of his sentencing, spewing out "cache," "catalog," and "canon" before forgetting about the entire thought.
As the interview, dubbed "Miles Teller Is Young, Talented, and Doesn't Give a Rat's Ass What You Think," gets more and more recognition over Teller's character, other magazines are stepping up to share their opinion.
Cosmopolitan's entertainment editor, Patti Greco, responded to Teller being a "d**k* in his Esquire interview by saying, "But Miles Teller is not acting like a d**k. Miles Teller is acting like Miles Teller." Greco pointed out other times that Teller acted similarly to the Esquire interview, such as a 2013 interview with Interview magazine and in an interview last year while promoting That Awkward Moment with Zac Efron.
And it seems that Teller does not think that he was a "d**k", either!
After Esquire shared the story on his Twitter feed, the actor responded back. He called the article "very misrepresenting" and that it "couldn't be more wrong."
