Tom Holland, the new young star of Sony and Marvel’s upcoming Spider-Man, is the latest to join The Lost City of Z. The film will team Holland up with Robert Pattinson, Sienna Miller and Charlie Hunnam.
Holland officially joined the film today, reports TheWrap.
Hunnam joined the film in February to replace Benedict Cumberbatch as Percy Fawcett, a British surveyor who tried to find a mythical city in the Amazon jungles during the 1920s and got lost. It is based on the book by David Grann.
Pattinson has been attached to the long-gestating project since November 2013.
MICA Entertainment is financing and it will be directed by James Gray (The Immigrant, We Own The Night). Production will start in Belfast and then moves to Colombia next month.
The executive producers are Marc Butan of MadRiver Pictures and Julie B. May and Glenn Murray of MICA.
Holland is set to make his debut as the new Spider-Man in next year’s Captain America: Civil War and is in Ron Howard’s In The Heart of the Sea, which comes out in December.
