This Halloween there’s a Caitlyn Jenner costume available at the Spirit Halloween pop-up store in New York City, which can be taken offensively to the trans community and its supporters.

Trisha Lombardo, Sprit Halloween’s head of PR and marketing, confirmed the costume to the New York Daily News’ Confindenti@l.

“Caitlyn Jenner has proven to be the most important real-life superhero of the year, and Spirit Halloween is proud to carry the costume that celebrates her,” said Lombaro.

The costume will be available within the next month or so, and it will sure to be followed by backlash. Jenner’s rep, Alan Nierob, wouldn’t comment.

Spirit Halloween is known for their arguably insensitive costumes, like last year when they sold “Slenderman” costumes to depict the teens who murdered their friend in May 2014. Their Native American costumes have also come under fire for being racist.

National Center for Transgender Equality’s Vincent Villano told Huffington Post about the Jenner costume, "There's no tasteful way to 'celebrate' Caitlyn Jenner or respect transgender people this way on the one night of the year when people use their most twisted imaginations to pretend to be villains and monsters.”
