Steven Tyler, who released a country single earlier this year, is hoping to build his country star resume by booking an appearance on ABC’s Nashville. The Aerosmith frontman posted for a picture with star Hayden Panettiere for Twitter.
Tyler tweeted the picture on Tuesday, posing on the show’s set with his trademark scarf-covered microphone.
“.@haydenpanettier AND I GETTING A LITTLE “CRAZY” ON SET AT @Nashville_ABC YOU WONT WANT TO MISS THIS,” Tyler wrote, adding Patsy Cline’s name at the end.
Tyler’s rep did confirm to Us Weekly that he did film a spot on Nashville. Other celebrities who have appeared on the show include Carrie Underwood, Kelly clarkson, Christina Aguilera and even First Lady Michelle Obama.
The Nashville appearance is likely to drum up interest in his first solo album, which is surprisingly going to be a country album. He announced the project in April and released a single, “Love Is Your Name,” in May. He even made an appearance at the Grand Ole Opry.
Nashville will return to ABC on Tuesdays on Sept. 23 to start its fourth season.
