Swift explained to the sold out crowd that she and Lavigne had been texting all week and the two finally got to meet before the show. "She's so sweet, which I love, when I find out that one of my favorite artists is also super amazing as a person," said Swift.

Lavigne had nothing but love for the "Style" singer. "Such a Pleasure to perform 'Complicated' tonight with @taylorswift on her #1989 world tour! She ROCKS," she wrote on her Instagram account.

E! Online reported that this was one of Lavigne's first performances since she had been going through treatment for Lyme disease.

This celebrity guest might come as a surprise to many after Swift and Lavigne had a minor feud over Twitter last week. As previously reported, Swift liked a collage that was made on Tumblr which compared her meeting fans to Lavigne.

Lavigne responded to the meme by taking to Twitter. She wrote, “Comparison is judging and judging a person does not define who they are it defines who you are. We all Love our fans.” She added, “So let's keep it all about the love and stay positive.”
