Kelly Clarkson got her start on American Idol, auditioning in front of Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson during the show's first season. She sang Etta James' "At Last" and quickly made her way through the final rounds, winning the competition in 2002.
Since then, Clarkson has sold over 25 million albums worldwide and has had 91 number one singles on the Billboard charts, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She has won three Grammy Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, 12 Billboard Music Awards, four American Music Awards and two Academy of Country Music Awards.
In concert, Clarkson reminisces on her days on Idol by covering a different song at each of her shows. On her earlier tours, Clarkson performed songs by artists like Whitney Houston, Patsy Cline and Mariah Carey. In 2012, she embarked on the Stronger Tour, where she asked fans to request a song each night on Twitter. Since then, Clarkson has continued nightly fan requests on every tour. She has covered Eminem, Madonna, P!nk, Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Rihanna, *NSYNC and Prince, to name a few.
