At the official after-party following OVO Fest’s two-day run, two were shot dead when a gunman entered the Muzik nightclub. The shooting occurred right down the street from the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto, where the festival wrapped up at 11 p.m. that night.

Based on a report from TMZ, Drake hosted this after-party at Muzik, although it’s not clear whether he was present when shots were fired at 3 a.m. on Tuesday.

One individual had been shot inside, and then, the gunman headed outdoors to continue firing. A man and a woman, in their 20s or 30s, were both killed, and three more required hospitalization.

Following the shooting, the Toronto Police Service held a press event. According to a report from Billboard, the police emphasized OVO Fest’s high degree of security.

“This is a sporadic shooting that did occur just before 3:30 this morning at 15 Saskatchewan,” police superintendent Frank Bergen explained. “It’s the Muzik Nightclub. A well-run event with lots of police officers in and around the area, culminating on a large evening event that occurred over at the OVO Festival.”

The police are continuing their investigation regarding what, exactly, occurred at Muzik, and have requested that anyone with more details reach out to Homicide, Crime Stoppers or to Toronto Police Service’s Division 14.
